Nike takes us on a trip back to 1977 to revisit one of its classics, the LD-1000. Finally making its long-awaited return, the Nike LD-1000 was initially crafted as a long-distance runner, known for its sleek design, lightweight construction and performance-focused features. Constructed with mesh and suede on the upper, the Nike LD-1000 features plush leather accents on the Swoosh and heel, followed by orange vintage Nike logos and a graphic on the insole paying homage to Athletics West, a legendary track and field club, founded by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman in the late 1970s, adding an extra touch of nostalgia.
